Ronald Howard Perry "Barefoot & Hillybilly" age 76 of Sears passed away Thursday, October 26, 2006 at his home. He was born August 2, 1930 to Marvin and Violet (Gay) Perry in Logan, West Virginia. Ron worked as a coal miner for 17 years in West Virginia. On December 20, 1970 he married Joyce George and they made their home in Lansing where Ronald worked for GM/Fisher Body and was the UAW Local 602 zone committee man for 20 years. After 29 years of service Ron retired and together with Joyce moved to Sears, Mich. in 1994 where they could enjoy retirement. Ron was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, loved his family and his grand dogs. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Joyce of Sears Children: Tim (Susan) Perry Steve (Teresa) Perry Kimberly (Ronald) Hale Michael Perry Seven Grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, One sister Eudora (Calvin) Elford, Four grand dogs and special friends John and Jan Decker. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Marvin Perry. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton, MI. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
