Ronald L. Morse, age 78, of Morley passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 at Evergreen Terrace Assisted Living in Big Rapids. He was born March 3, 1946 in Grand Rapids the son of Spiros and Marie (Gervers) Vlahandreas. Ron loved fishing, hunting, golfing, collecting trains and wood working especially making birdhouses. He proudly served in the Navy and was a lifetime member of the Morley American Legion Post #554 where he was the Commander for 18 years. Ron received the highest honor serving as Grand Chef de Gare of the 40/8, an Honor Society for American Veterans and service members. He enjoyed his local round table coffee chats and spending time with the Bingo Ladies Ron was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Marie and Robert Morse; his father, Spiros Vlahandreas; his brother-in-law, Jerry Wendling and his best friend, Sir James (the dog). Surviving is his longtime companion, Patty Farris of Morley; sister, Kathy Wendling of Big Rapids; Brother, Denny (Dedria) Morse of Howard City; son, Ron Puskarich; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Aetna Township Cemetery. A Memorial Service with Military Honors and Luncheon will follow at 2:00 pm at the Morley American Legion. Those wishing may make donations in Rons name to the Morley American Legion Post 554.
