Obituary

Ronald V. Kyser age 81 of Barryton formerly of Brooklyn passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at his home. He was born September 19, 1924 in Brooklyn to Vern and Hazel (Miller) Kyser. Ronald married Barbara Tobias November 2, 1946 in Lansing and they made their home in Brooklyn where they raised their family. Ronald was honorably discharged from the US Army serving in WWII. After retiring from Ford Motor Co., thirty years ago, Ronald and Barbara enjoyed spending the winters in Lakeland, Fla. Through out the years Ronald enjoyed building various things such as, go carts, doll houses complete with furniture, poll buildings, screened in porches and countless other things. The last few years he loved shooting pool and playing poker with his friends. A year ago Ronald and Barbara moved to Barryton to be closer to their family. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Barbara of Barryton Son Mitchell (Ginny) Kyser of Hanover Horton Two daughters: Linda (Jim) Ray of Barryton Carol (Floyd) Young of Lake City 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren that he loved tremendously, one sister Marge Gove and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Arlene Beal and Shirley Lent. Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service will take place 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2006 at Highland Cemetery in Brooklyn. Following the memorial service (2:00 p.m.) the Kyser family would like to invite everyone to a luncheon and a time of fellowship at the Brooklyn American Legion. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions in Ronald's name may be made to Mercy Hospice 7985 Mackinaw Trail, Suite 100, Cadillac, MI 49601.
