Obituary

Ronald Kennard Lintemuth, 84, of Rodney passed away suddenly at his home Sunday, November 6, 2022. He was born on January 8th, 1938 to Kennard and Gertrude (Jehnzen) Lintemuth of Rodney. Ronald worked 58 years on the pipeline and was a member of the Local 324 Operating Engineers. He married his wife Carol (Maxon) Lintemuth on October 9th, 1959 and together they had 5 children: Cheryl (Tim) Nellis of Rodney, Brian (Darlene) Lintemuth of Rodney, Michael (Tami) Lintemuth of Amble, Angela (Roger) King of Rodney, Denise (Steve) Schwandt of Lakeview, and one fur baby Sadie May his beloved dog; eleven grandchildren, Joshua (Krystle) Nellis of Canadian Lakes, Jonathon (Jill) Nellis of Rodney, Bridget (Kyle) Brigham of Rodney, Danielle (Jared) Kanouse of Leroy, Brandon (Amber) Lintemuth of Evart, Hanna (Pete) Lintemuth of Rodney, Amanda (Jeff) Kinsey of Morrison, TN, Ashlee (Gavin) Senn of Howard City, Breanna (Bill) Wieser of Greenville, Liam Lintemuth of Amble, and Ronald Schwandt of Lakeview; 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by his siblings Arlene (Gary) Oaks Grosbeck of Rodney, Donna Truesdell of Chippewa Lake, and Alvah (Diane) Lintemuth of Stanwood; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Theodore Lintemuth, two brothers-in-law Conley Oaks and Ronald Truesdell, and one great grandson Breylon Senn. Ronald was an avid woodworker and loved to make birdhouses, rocking horses and potty chairs for his family. He loved farming and gardening in the summer and deer hunting in the fall. Ronald served his community by cooking chicken barbeque dinners and prepping the fields for Chippewa Lake Days Softball Tournaments. He was also awarded Citizen of the Year. Funeral Services will take place 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Roger Bennett officiating. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10th and one hour prior to the funeral on Friday at the Funeral Home. Ronald will be laid to rest at Martiny Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Ronalds name to the charity of the donors choice.
