Ronald L. Hildabridle, age 71 of Morley, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 at his home. He was born September 20, 1939 in Mason, the son of Ernest and Bertha (Lenon) Hildabridle. Ron was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force. On January 17, 1959 Ron married Alice Franks in Fowlerville. Together they raised their family in the Webberville and Morley areas. Ron worked for Frigidaire until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, yard work and his tractors. Ron always kept himself busy whether it was puzzles in the winter or working in his garage; he was great at fixing odds and ends. Ron was one to give his grand children a hard time, he loved his family and they were important to him. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Alice Hildabridle of Morley; 4 children, Joe (Kathy) Hildabridle of Traverse City, Marie Isley of Morley, Pamela St. Clair of Pickney, Angela Egeler of Morley; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother Edson Lawrence of Florida; 2 step-sisters, Ethel Mather of Lansing and Donna Mather of Grand Ledge; many nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by a son Timothy Hildabridle, his parents and a step-father George Post. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 7th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Ron White officiating. The family will greet friends 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 6th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Ron's name to the American Cancer Society.
