Ronald C. Hackett, 72, of Barryton, MI, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 where he resided in Clare. He was born on June 6, 1944 in Lansing, to Charles and Thelma (Lemon) Hackett. Ron was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After the service he worked at General Motors in Lansing for 30 years. Ron loved the Mecosta area and made it his permanent home in 2001. Ron is survived by: his sisters, Jan Barnhill and Cleo (Jerry) Warden; one brother, Rex (Patricia) Hackett; brother-in-law, Jerry Looney; good friend, Nikki Fauson-Hackett; and many extended family members and friends. Ron was preceded by in death by his parents, Charles and Thelma; sisters, Lynn Potter and Connie Looney and a brother, Richard Hackett. A celebration of Rons life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at his brothers home, 16080 45th Avenue, Barryton. Military honors will be at the house.
