Ronald C. Crandall, age 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Stanwood, Michigan, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at University of Louisville Hospital in Kentucky, with his daughter, Laura, by his side. He was born in Rogers Heights, Michigan on March 18, 1948, the son of Gordon and Betty (Campbell) Crandall. Ron was a 1966 graduate of Morley-Stanwood High School. Ron was an avid sports fan, especially University of Michigan sports. He kept friends and acquaintances smiling with his quick wit and his good-natured disposition. He was busy as a handyman in Kentucky, where stories are told of his kind-hearted gestures to help those in need. He is survived by three daughters, Heather (Matt) Kail of Rockford, Laura (Chad) Lyons of White Cloud, and Jillian (Jared) Eckert of Allendale; nine grandchildren; five siblings, Gayle Campbell of Grand Rapids, Darrel (Sandy) Crandall of Canadian Lakes, Connie Crandall of Grand Rapids, Kurt Crandall of Big Rapids, and Walter Crandall of Big Rapids; and many nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, mother Betty, father Gordon, and step-mother Deb Crandall. A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Stanwood Cemetery.
