Ronald Alvin Chester, age 69 of Big Rapids, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2006. He was born November 22, 1936 in South Bend, IN the son of Helen Bogunia and Alvin Chester. Ron served in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 to 1960. He married Mary Carolyn Schneider on November 9, 1960. Together they have lived throughout the United States and Michigan. For nearly 25 years Ron lived in Mecosta County where he was a truck driver and worked as a mechanic at Triangle Auto in Big Rapids. Ron will be forever missed by his loving family including; wife; Mary Chester of Stanwood mother; Helen Bogunia of Big Rapids 2 Sons; David (Vicky) Chester of Stanwood Randy (Suzy) Chester of Big Rapids A daughter; Lisa (Paul) Tolles of Paris Seven grandchildren; Daniel Chester, Mandy McCall, Monica Tolles, Jeremiah Tolles, Zachariah Tolles, Brian Chester and Dustyn Matthes and two Great-grandsons; Cade and Ryan Chester. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with burial at Hungerford Cemetery. The family will greet friends today from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
