Roger E. Heffelbower, age 78 of Barryton, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at his home. He was born November 26, 1941 the son of Elvin S. and Artie M. (Curtis) Heffelbower. Roger married his high school sweetheart, Nancy J. Robson on January 14, 1961 and together they made their home and raised their family in the Mulliken area. He was employed by General Motors, retiring after 30 years. Following retirement Roger and Nancy moved to their home on the Chippewa River near Barryton. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Nancy; five children, Tammy (Jeff) Ketchum, Jerry (Cathie) Heffelbower, Jay (Marge) Heffelbower, Ann (David) Massey, Pamela (Jim) Livermore; 16 grandchildren, Michael, Yolanda, Dalton (Taylor), Jared (Cassandra), Kaitlyn, Andrew, Amber, Cari Emma (James), Abbigale (Andrew), Dayton, Garret, Makensey, Tyler, Britten, Brice, Ashtyn; 9 great-grandchildren, Logan, Kolton, Kooper, Karter, Jace, Oliver, Ellie, Amelia and Aiden. Rogers exceptional work ethic and drive taught his family how to work hard. He loved nature, camping, hunting, gardening and most of all spending time with his beloved family. Roger made friends where ever he went. He was known by many as "Burr-head". A memorial gathering in Rogers honor will take place Sunday, June 28, from 12-4 at Roger and Nancys home 2184 22 Mile Rd, Sears, MI 49679.
