Roger M. Bula, age 65 of Big Rapids, went to be with the Lord Monday, November 11, 2013 at his home. He was born August 1, 1948 in Flint, the son of Michael and Pauline (Hula) Bula. Roger was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Big Rapids. He was a proud graduate of Michigan Tech University with a degree in engineering. Roger worked as an engineer for Gardener Denver. He later was employed by Ferris State University for nearly 40 years as a physical engineer. Roger was a patriotic man that supported the military. He loved his daughter and enjoyed watching her grow. Roger is survived by his daughter, Alexandria Bula and her mother, Margaret S. Gingrich D.D.S. of Big Rapids; cousins, Betty Symborski of Midland, Raymond Symborski of Kawkawlin and Larry Symborski of Linwood. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 18, 2013 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Big Rapids with Reverend Dr. Gary D. Hamp officiating. Memorial contributions can be made in Roger's name to the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church - Morris Fund.
