Robert C. Ward III, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 29, 2024, near his home in Stanwood, Michigan. Rob was born on February 23, 1957, and raised in Wyoming, Michigan. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1975, where he participated passionately in various recreational sports. For the past 30 years, he made his home in Stanwood, where he became a devoted friend to many, enjoyed fishing, and spent cherished moments on his boat along the Muskegon River. Rob was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, a non-profit organization dedicated to "People Helping People." Through this organization, he built meaningful and lifelong friendships. Known for his quick wit and willingness to help others, Rob brought kindness and laughter to those who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert C. Ward II and Donna L. Ward of Wyoming, Michigan. He is survived by his brother, Rickie L. Ward (Nancy); his niece, Shawnie Michmerhuizen (William); his nephew, Rickie L. Ward II (Heather); his great-nieces, Brooke Mahlebashian, Sierra Chandler (Corey), and Sydnee Michmerhuizen; and his great-nephews, Rickie L. Ward III (Sadie) and Colton R. Ward. Robs helpful nature, humor, and friendship touched many lives. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
