IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert L.
Siewert
January 17, 1940 – May 17, 2025
Robert Lee Siewert, born January 17, 1940, passed away on May 17, 2025 at Mission Point Nursing Home in Big Rapids, Michigan.
Robert was born to the late Caroline (Haase) and Walter Siewert, in St. Joseph, Michigan. He leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Donna Siewert, three daughters, Elizabeth (Dee) Burrows, Roberta (Jose) Siewert, and Melissa (Al) Carpenter, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Throughout his career as an Engineer, he worked for Clarke Equipment and Marmon Transmotive. In 1985 he and his wife bought a Civil War home (circa 1865) in Loudon Tennessee, called the Mason Place. Bob and Donna took pride in remodeling the Mason Place, bringing it back to life and furnishing it with antiques from the era in which it was built. They ran the Mason Place as a Bed and Breakfast and Wedding venue for nearly 20 years.
Bob had a love for boating, fishing, hunting, fast cars, camping and skiing. He was an avid gun collector. He spent many years at his cabin in the Smoky Mountains with his dog Judy. Bob will be remembered for his sense of humor, his witty jokes, his keen ability to tell a story by sharing his wealth of knowledge in so many areas.
Bob will be cremated and a family gathering will take place at a later date.
