Robert S. Penrod, age 23 of Big Rapids, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022. He was born in Lansing on December 8, 1998, the son of Freedom Penrod. Robert was a 2017 graduate from Crossroads Charter Academy. He married Kymberly Smith June 23, 2018 and together they raised their daughter Khalia. Robert was an avid football fan; he played in high school, volunteered as a coach at Crossroads, and enjoyed watching the game. Robert also liked playing video games and was a member of the United States Association of Reptile Keepers. He was a loving husband to his wife, Kymberly; a great father to Khalia and his daughter that will be born in a few weeks, Khiya; and a good son to his mom Freedom; all who survive him. Robert is also survived by his brother, Christopher Penrod Strom; grandparents, Kathy Penrod and Andrew Johnson; mother and father-in-law, Kandy and Howard White; close family friend, Tommy Eagan; his best friend, Dean Moore; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his close family friend Candy Beatty. Services are pending at this time. Memorial contributions may be made in Roberts name to his family.
