Robert F. Maguire, 93, of Big Rapids, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2025. He was born on January 4, 1932, in Big Rapids, the son of Frank and Letta (Baker) Maguire.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. A true patriot, he took great pride in his service and remained a dedicated veteran throughout his life.

For many years, Robert was actively involved in First Baptist Church in Big Rapids and later Charity Baptist Church, where his strong faith guided his life. He worked for several years in the gas fields, serving in various roles before later managing Hillcrest Apartments in Big Rapids. He was a devoted man—committed to his faith, family, and work.

Robert is survived by his children: Robert Jr. (Diane) Maguire, Timothy (Diane) Maguire, and Cathy Sellas; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and Marilyn, the mother of his children; special nephew: Bruce (Mary) Maguire; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, James, and his siblings: Frank, Archie, Dan, and Richard.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home, Big Rapids, with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon until the time of service. Robert will be laid to rest at Pine Plains Cemetery, Big Rapids.
