Robert R. "Bob" Huff, age 74 of Canadian Lakes, formerly of Trenton, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017. He was born October 4, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio the son of Wayne A. and Helen F. (Kohler) Huff. Bob graduated from Trenton High School. He began his working career at the Firestone Steel Products Company in Wyandotte. He married Gloria J. Nagy in 1964 and soon after joined the Trenton Fire Department. Bob and Gloria made their home in Trenton until Bobs retirement from the fire department. In 1992, they moved to their present home at Canadian Lakes. During his retirement, Bob fulfilled his passion for the outdoors by deer hunting, fishing and golfing. He especially enjoyed trips on his motorcycle and was a member of the Canadian Lakes Motorcycle group. Bob attended the Northland United Methodist Church in Stanwood for nearly 20 years. He is survived by his beloved wife 52 years Gloria; two children, Jim (Julie) Huff and Sherry Huff both of Trenton; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Jaimie and Ryan Huff; a sister, Linda Murdock of Trenton and four nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Northland United Methodist Church in Stanwood with Pastor Devon Hester officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday, February 3rd from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Memorial contributions in Bobs name may be given to; the Morton Township Fire Fighters and E.M.T.s Project, Spectrum Hospice or the Northland United Methodist Church in Stanwood.
