Robert E. Aymor, age 56 of Big Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at his home. He was born October 8, 1957 in Stanwood, the son of Harvey and Mabel (Wright) Aymor. Robert graduated from Morley - Stanwood High School in 1975 and later joined the United States Army. While he was living in Germany he married Silvia, who passed in 2008, and together they raised their two daughters. Robert moved back to Michigan and worked with various trucking companies and was currently working for R M Trucking. In 2012, Robert married Julie Goodfellow, who was a high school classmate. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Robert will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Julie Aymor of Big Rapids; two daughters, Mandy (Daniel) Aymor of Grand Rapids and Jennifer Aymor of Reed City; three step-daughters, Brooke (Joe) Derevage of AL, Brenna (Aaron Pieri) Jankowski of Stanwood and Chandra (Brian) Drach of Big Rapids; ten grandchildren, Jazmine, Jayana, Riley, McKenna, Saige, Christian, Piper, Andrew, Olivia and Emma; two brothers, Darle (Suzette) Boerma of Newaygo and Harvey (Debora) Aymor of Newaygo; two sisters, Paula (Raymond) Limberg of Newaygo and Patricia (Edward) Kuiper of TN; many nieces, nephews, extended family and in-laws. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister; his first wife, Silvia Aymor and a step-son, Casey Jankowski. A memorial service will take place 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Ron White officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until the time of service (1:00 p.m.) on Tuesday the 22nd at the funeral home.
