Richard E. Worthing, age 64, of Mecosta formerly of Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2009 at his home with his beloved wife at his side. He was born August 2, 1944 in Milwakee, WI, to Donald and Dorothy (Bowser) Worthing. When Richard was able he was an avid golfer and loved fishing. He was a simple and grateful man who was thankful for the time he got to spend at his home on Tubbs Lake. Richard was a wonderful friend and caring husband that will deeply missed by all of those who survive him. He is survived by his wife Patricia of Mecosta, his daughter: Denise (Jon) Wolski and their sons, Jake and Nicholas a son: Allen (Debbie) Worthing and his son Scott all of Milwakee, a sister, Geri (Harold) Halle of Wisconsin and many nieces an nephews and several close friends including Harry and Diane Schweitzer. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Donald. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2009 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. Memorial donations in Richard's name may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
