Richard "Poncho" Marion, 57, of Morley , passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at his home with his family by his side. He was born November 4, 1952 in Ypsilanti, the son of Lewis and Eva (Osburn) Marion. Richard was honorably discharged from the United States Army serving in Vietnam as a crew chief, door gunner, and in the military police; a highly decorated veteran. He was a man with a big heart. Richard was gentle, kind and most of all loved his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed all sports, especially Nascar. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Susan; 4 sons, Richard Marion Jr., David (Janice) Rohraff, Steven Rohraff, and Brad Rohraff; 4 daughters, Crystal Marion, Maria (Don) Ranbarger, Doreen (Michael) Riley, and Mindy Rohraff; 2 sisters, Aline Merritt and Mary (Grady) Watson; 24 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Beside his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Edward Marion and a brother-in-law, Stanley Merritt. A memorial gathering for family and friends to celebrate Richard's life will take place on the 4th of July.
