Richard E. Lytle age 75, of Sears passed away, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at his home. He was born to Clinton and Julia (LaBonniville) Lytle in Alma, MI, on October 16, 1936. Richard was honorably discharged from the United States Navy in 1958. On December 4, 1961 he married Lorenda S. Bentley in Remus. They made their home around the Big Rapids area prior to moving to Sears (Barryton) in the mid 1970's where Richard enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting. Richard was a jack of all trades and wouldn't mind tackling any project if he thought he could fix it himself. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Lorenda of Sears; 8 children who will continue to hold their memories of a wonderful father close to their hearts, Mary (Scott) Huffmaster of White Cloud, Richard Lytle of Barryton, Jerri (Doug) Scott of Cedar Springs, Laura (Harold) Gorski of Cedar Springs, Beatrice "Bea" Lytle of Reed City, Karen Lytle of Barryton, Shelly DesNoyers of Comstock Park and Katherine (Bruce) Stephens of Interlochin; two sisters, Irene Shannon and Georgeanna Hackett; 15 grandchildren, three step-granddaughters, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, son Joseph Lytle, grandson Charles Guttersohn III, four brothers; Jerry, Joe, Larry and David and five sisters; Lucille May, Margaret Houghton, Rosella "Sally" Corey, Rosevere Muterspaugh and Betty Lynch. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Chippewa Lake Community Building. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Richard's name can be made to Hospice of Michigan.
