Richard Wayne Emorey, 90, of Paris, passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side on October 21, 2025.

He was born on July 14, 1935, to Howard and Prudence (Keys) Emorey. Richard married the love of his life, Patricia Kloostra, and together they shared 45 wonderful years of marriage.

An outdoorsman through and through, Richard found joy in hunting, fishing, and hiking. He loved sharing his passion for the outdoors with others—especially his grandchildren—and took great pride in teaching them the value of nature, responsibility, and safety. Gun safety, in particular, was an important lesson he passed down to his children and grandchildren.

Richard will be remembered for his kindness, patience, and the love he showed to his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughters, Meg (Marty) McKeiver and Sarah (Damon) Baker; as well as many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia, and his parents.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Michigan in honor of Richard.
