Rex A. Colley, age 73, after a year and a half long battle with Leukemia, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024 at his home. He was born on May 20, 1951 in Big Rapids, the son of Joseph and Evelyn (Carlson) Colley. Rex was honorably discharged from the US Navy Reserves in 1975. Rex enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, fishing and camping. His real love was spending time with his kids and grandkids. He is survived by his children: Renee (Eric) Earle of Barryton, and John Colley of Reed City; his grandchildren: Michael Earle, Ceejae (Bryan) Smith and Dylan Colley; sister, Evie Jo (Ron) Duff; along with 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Rex was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, JoAnn. A memorial luncheon will take place on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Grant Township Hall located on 21 Mile Road & 150th Avenue in Big Rapids, Michigan.
