Reverend Jack C. Dunn, 72, went to be with the Lord, 10:50 a.m. Sunday, February 8, 2009. He was the son of Jack K. and Rev. Grace (Anger) Dunn of Big Rapids. Pastor Jack was a graduate of Big Rapids High School. He went on to earn certification in furnace maintenance from Ferris State University. Pastor Jack received his ordination in ministry from the Church of God (Anderson, IN) in 1966. He continued his vocational ministry until his last sermon at Hillcrest Community Church of God in Cedar Springs, MI on January 25, 2009. Rev. Jack C. Dunn is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Fredrick) Dunn of Big Rapids, whom he married on February 9, 1957. He is also survived by their children; Kay (Stephen) Mitchell of Australia, Rev. Clint (Lisa) Dunn and Karen Dunn all of Wichita, KS; grandchildren include, Jason (Shenoa) Mitchell, Peter Mitchell, Christie Mitchell, Belinda Mitchell, Lauren Dunn, Olivia Dunn and Lane Dunn; great-grandchildren include, Tahlia Mitchell and Katelyn Mitchell. A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the Hillcrest Community Church of God, 5994 18 Mile Road, Cedar Springs, MI. A memorial fund will be established in Pastor Jack's honor for the Hillcrest Community Church of God.
