ReGina C. Merinsky, age 45 of Big Rapids, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at her home. She was born October 15, 1971 in Flint, the daughter of Victor Merinsky and Sharon Stevens. ReGina graduated from Montague High School in 1989.

She was employed by American Seating as an engineer. ReGina was a quilter, crafter, and an artisan. She enjoyed anything challenging and puzzling. ReGina was a member of St. Mary-St. Paul Parish in Big Rapids. She loved her horses Laddie and Abby and being a "horse show mom" for her daughter. ReGinas motto was "Believe nothing of what you hear, half of what you see, come up with your own conclusion, and you'll be okay."

She is survived by her father, Victor Merinsky of Swartz Creek; son, Kevin (Jessica) Munson of Howard City; daughter, Caryn Munson of Allendale; two grandsons, Calvin and Mason Munson; sister, Victoria (Ronnie) Perez of Ann Arbor; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. ReGina will be missed by her loving dog Paxton.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Frances Merinsky and uncle, James (Linda) Merinsky.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am Friday, March 17, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1009 Marion Avenue, Big Rapids, with Father Michael Burt officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, March 16th with a Rosary being prayed at 3:30 pm at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. The family will also greet friends one hour prior to Mass on Friday, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at the Church. ReGina will be laid to rest at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Flint.
