Raymond C. Roebuck, age 67 of Rodney, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016. He was born August 23, 1948 in Benton Harbor, the son of Charles and Loraine (Forbush) Roebuck. Ray graduated from Chippewa Hills High School in 1968. He worked in the office of the Mecosta County Sherriff Department, Federal Screw, and MichCon in Grand Rapids where he retired from. Ray attended church in Ensley Center. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his dogs. Ray is survived by five siblings, Robert (Karla) Roebuck of Rodney, Ken (Jan) Roebuck of Mecosta, Tom (Val) Roebuck of Rodney, Susan (Mike) Plummer of Byron Center, and Don (Lisa) Roebuck of Rodney; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis Roebuck. A memorial service will take place 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Roger Bennett officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
