Ralph L. Bargo, age 84 of Canadian Lakes formerly of Kalamazoo, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at his home. He was born May 11, 1927 in Gobles, MI the son of LeeRoy and Estelle (Johnson) Bargo. Ralph was a graduate of Gobles High School. He began his working career on the Railroad. He later worked as a millwright for the Eaton Corporation in Kalamazoo and then accepted a position with General Motors. Ralph retired to Canadian Lakes in 1989 where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a remarkably talented man who enjoyed a good project. Ralph built a complete fire truck for the city of Kalamazoo, Eastwood Fire Department, he had built a floating gazebo out of wood that was used for a local wedding ceremony and he could repair any golf cart. At one time Ralph drove race cars and was still an avid NASCAR fan. He also ran his own charter fishing boat out of Ludington. He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 12 of Battle Creek. Ralph will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend by those he leaves to mourn, including his wife; Geraldine "Gerry" Bargo of Canadian Lakes, his beloved family; daughter, Gail (Jesus) Pequeno of Canadian Lakes; grandchildren, Alisa Burlew and her children, Parker Munson and Cameron Burlew; Jessi (fiance Terra) Pequeno and their children, Jesse Lee, Carmen Pequeno and Alonzo McGill; Angela Gleason and her son Derek Schur; Andrea "Andy" Pequeno and her daughter Alex Pequeno; a sister Luella Upson of Kalamazoo and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by 5 siblings.
