Priscilla M. Campbell, 92, of Big Rapids, passed away peacefully at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan on May 13, 2018. She was born in Greenville, Michigan on January 7th, 1926 to Glenn Barnes and Eleanor Miller. Priscilla graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in business education. In a time when women were generally expected to be a housewife, she not only had a career teaching business and shorthand at Newberry, Sault Ste. Marie and Shepherd, but also supported her family while her husband Glenn studied for his own baccalaureate degree. After settling in Big Rapids, she spent the remainder of her career teaching at Big Rapids High School. During this time, she also completed her Masters Degree in Education. Teaching was her passion, and she loved her students dearly. She enjoyed hearing from former students as they pursued their own careers.

She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn H. Campbell on June 21st 2001, one sister, Ruth Beecroft and one brother, Charles Barnes.

She is survived by one brother, Robert Barnes of Mt. Pleasant, and three sons and one daughter, Allen Campbell (Debbie) of Sault Ste. Marie, Vern Campbell (Shelly) of Petoskey, Neil Campbell (Linda) of Corunna, and Barbara Campbell Slagel (Steve) of Traverse City. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Priscilla was a strong adherent to the faith and was a member of Trinity Fellowship Evangelical Free Church in Big Rapids. She enjoyed reading her bible and would often quip with a twinkle in her eye, "Im studying for my Finals".

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 18th at Daggett-Gilbert funeral home in Big Rapids. The family will greet friends two hours prior to services on Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m. Priscilla will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens in Sault Ste. Marie 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018.
