Phyllis Zacharias, 84, of Canadian Lakes, formally of South Lyon passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

Phyllis was born November 19, 1941, the daughter of Joseph and Leota Stafford. Phyllis was a devoted wife to Ronald Zacharias and together they enjoyed 56 years of marriage until his death in 2016. Phyllis was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Remus, Michigan, and prior member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in South Lyon, Michigan. She enjoyed playing Mahjongg with her friends, reading, cooking, and most of all being with her family. She was a loving, caring, patient, easy-going person who will be deeply missed.

Phyllis is survived by: her children, Steve (Barbara), and Jill; grandchildren, Stephanie and Christina; sisters, Gerry Koneczny, and Shirley Rollins; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; her parents; her brother, Patrick Stafford; and her sister, Jeanne Dubyk.

A Mass of Catholic Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at St. Michael the Archangel 8929 50th Ave Remus, Michigan 49340. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the start of the Mass at Church, with a luncheon after internment.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Phyllis Zacharias’s memory to the Michigan Chapter of the American Heart Association.
