Obituary

Phyllis Gail "Mim" Lambrix, age 80 of Morley, MI passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 13, 2014 at her son's home in Morley. She was born September 26, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Walter and Ella (Rankin) Kramer. Phyllis met her future husband Lawrence "Pip" Lambrix in Erie, Pennsylvania and married him on October 23, 1954. After spending several years near her parents the family made their home in South Rockwood to be closer to Pip's family. In 1976 Pip moved the family to Morley. She was proud of Pip's accomplishments throughout his life and his service in the Coastguard. Mim had a numerous interests and things she loved to do. Her two favorites were going for a ride no matter where the destination was and swimming. She also enjoyed Bingo, Westerns, crocheting, dancing, roller skating and ice skating, lighthouses and big boats, summer trips to Pennsylvania to see her family and pizza anytime and all the time. Mim's main focus was caring for her family. She is survived by 5 sons, Lawrence Jr. (Nancy) of Newport, MI, Gary (Brenda) of Morley, Terrance (Linda) of Morley, Michael (Lynette) of Morley, Kevin (Keith) of Lansing; 2 daughters, Gail (Roger) Justice of Riverview, Susan Lambrix of Martin, TN; 25 Grandchildren, 18 Great-grandchildren of which she treasured spending time with; 2 sisters, Janet Griffin of Erie, PA and Linda Dipple of Orange County, CA; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Pip in 2010; and one sister Shirley Hindleang. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Ron White officiating. The family will greet friends 2 hours prior to services on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Apollonia's Cemetery in Morley. Phyllis loved animals especially her dog, Foxy and horse Cricket. With that in mind memorials can be made to the Animal Rescue Coalition (18400 220th Ave. Big Rapids).
