Obituary

Phillip Louis Knapp came into this world on February 20, 1969. After a long courageous battle with cancer he left this world on July 15, 2015. He went to be with our Lord to watch over us and is still very much here in our hearts. Those that went before him were his Grandma Knapp whom he missed so dearly; his Grandpa Knapp and Grandma Donna whom he also missed and his Grand Father Lou. He is also in Heaven now with his cousins Trinty, Nicki, and Jessica; whom I am sure are showing him the ropes :) and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. Those that are left here on earth are his wife Margie Knapp (His Angel); his sons, Anthony and Walt Maxwell, whom he referred to as Tony and Big Walt; Darren and Jessica Hamock, whom he referred to as Booch and Jess; James Lyke, whom he spent many hours with doing their favorite pastime; Michael Mcguire, whom he called Mike; his daughter Mikayla Mcquire, whom he referred to as his "Tada Bug" and he was her "Nili"; Faustin and Ashley Knapp, whom he hoped he gave her some peace of mind at the end; his grandson Andrew Hamock, whom he called grandson; his father Larry Knapp, whom he held nothing but love for; his step-mother, Lynda Knapp, which they both referred to jokingly as the evil step-mother :) ; his mother-in-law Pat Kall, whom he always had a hug and an "I Love You" for; a special Aunt Lois Knapp, whom he loved deeply and referred to her as "Mom"; Aunt Midgie Lagrow, whom he was very greatful that he had a loving relationship with at the end; his sister Midgie and Jennifer Lagrow, whom he referred to as "His Sissy"; his sister Dawny; two brothers, Spike and Shardin, he always said and wanted you to know he was sorry he could not protect you all; several other aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, Paul and Jen, remember the good times, he loved you both very much; Mel, whom he will forever be giving you his special wave from heaven (thank you for all your help); nurse Betty and Hospice Nurse Melody. I am truly sorry if I missed anyone. It is not my intention, he loved you all. Phil was a kind man. He made a lot of mistakes over the years; some with help and others on his own. He was not the monster some people believed him to be. I always knew the kind of man he was destined to be; I saw it in his eyes years ago. That is why I never gave up on him. Blessed are the ones who stayed around and took the time to find out the man he had become. I am truly the lucky one that he went to the Lord loving me. I believe with all my heart and sole we will be together again. I love you Angel Eyes. Love, Your Angel "I'll be seeing ya." Graveside Service Friday, July 17, 2015 10:00 AM Ashton Cemetery
