Philip Campbell, age 82 of Barryton, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at home surrounded by family. He was born August 24, 1938 in Marshall the son of Miles and Marjorie (Hope) Campbell. Phil was a farmer for 30 years and also part of the maintenance department of Chippewa Hills Schools.
Phil is survived by his wife Betty (nee Arnold) Campbell of Barryton; three children, Tony (Jannette) Campbell of Leonidas, MI, Danny (Connie) Campbell of Rodney, Patty (Bruce) Rettinger of Mecosta; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Alex) Schmidtendorff, Philip (Kelli) Campbell, Devin Campbell, Britney Campbell, Hunter Campbell, Bruce Rettinger Jr.; five great-grandchildren, R. J. Campbell, Isabelle Schmidtendorff, Colton Schmidtendorff, Reece Campbell and baby Rylie; two sisters, Mary Lou (Chuck) VanHuysen and Joan Campbell all of Battle Creek and many nieces and nephews.
Phill was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Ruth Reed; four brothers Roy, Richard, Jack and Howard Campbell and a granddaughter, Renee Jehnsen.
There will be no public services at this time. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Phils name may be made to The Lighthouse Free Methodist Church in Barryton or Spectrum Health Hospice.
