Paul Thomas Hodges, 58, of Stanwood, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024. He was born on July 12, 1966, in Flint, Michigan, to Larry and Jane (Potter) Hodges. Paul was the fourth of five brothers, sharing a close bond with his siblings that remained strong throughout his life. After graduating high school, Paul served his country in the United States Army. Later, he built a career with AT&T as a technician until his retirement. Paul was known for his love of life. He was an enthusiastic traveler, camper, and boater who especially loved cooking. A talented chef, he took great pride in his food and was always happy to share with others. Wherever he went, Paul enjoyed playing a round of golf and embraced every opportunity to make memories. A kind, generous, and caring man, Paul would go out of his way to help others. He was a dedicated father, son, and grandfather who supported his family wholeheartedly. His warmth and support will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Paul is survived by his children: Michael (Erin) Hodges and Sarah (Shalon) McIntyre; his grandson, Gabriel Hodges; and his brothers: Stephen (Lisa) Hodges, Chris (Leesa) Hodges, Daniel (Lila) Hodges, and Anthony (Laura) Hodges. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Hodges. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Big Rapids, with visitation on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home, Big Rapids.
