Paul Albert Fenton, age 91 of Evart, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Altercare of Big Rapids. Paul was born on July 2, 1927 in Buffalo, Wyoming to Pearl and Anna (LeFever) Fenton. His mother passed away at a young age and Paul went to live with his Aunt and Uncle in Missouri where he was raised. Paul was a strong man and determined. He gained employment at Oldsmobile in Lansing and worked in the plating department. Paul retired in September of 1976 from Olds. On December 19, 1986 he married longtime girlfriend, Delores Belle Crittenden in Lansing. Paul and Delores moved to Evart (Lake Miramichi) where they continued to raise her children. Paul loved all of the children as if they were his own. He took pride in their accomplishments and supported their efforts. When Paul was able he loved to hunt, fish and work in the garden. Paul was genuine and honest. He adored his dog and would take him anywhere. Paul is survived by five children, Michael (Amy Barringer) Fenton, Joe (Sharon Wilson) Sheppard, Lulu Bignall, Paul (Beatrice Navarro) Michaels and Rosie McGrath; ten grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Paul is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins he has lost touch with over the years but wish he knew. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Delores in 2014. A celebration of Pauls life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. The family will greet friends and family one hour prior to the service on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
