Obituary

Patricia Ann Nevins, age 85, passed away into the arms of Jesus on May 10, 2026 with her family by her side. Pat was born on December 4, 1940 to Lyle and Mabel (Claybaugh) Stevens in Lansing, Michigan. She met the love of her life, Leon Nevins, after he returned home from the military and he joined his parents in a visit with her parents. They were introduced and she left with her friends for a dance. Having felt bad about leaving him behind, she returned shortly after and invited him to a movie, and they were married in the winter of 1960. They shared 66 blessed years together, creating a legacy of joy and love that will never be forgotten.

Pat was a free spirit, lived life to the fullest and she brought happiness with her wherever she went. She loved people, and people loved her right back. Pat loved crafting, walking in nature, gardening and above all, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She enjoyed listening to old hymns, and frequently sang "In the Garden" as her favorite. Pat adored her family, always put her family first, and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed, by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her beloved husband Leon; children, Wendy Nevins, and Randy (Jackie) Nevins; her granddaughter Megan (Bryant) Howard; two grandsons, Devon Nevins, and Joshua Clark; two great-grandchildren, Brendan and Shyane; her brothers, John Claybaugh and Roger Stevens; sister, Susan (Randy) Duffy; as well as her beloved adopted family members, Joy and Rudy Nyitray.

Pat was predeceased by her parents; son, Barry Nevins; great grandson, Alisdair Howard; sister, Carol Jean Stevens; and brother Richard Stevens.

A celebration of life is being planned and details will be shared once available.
