Patricia Ann Morrett, age 85 of Chippewa Lake, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at home. She was born February 13, 1934 in Lansing, the daughter of Earl and Myrtle. She married Larry Morrett and together they made their home and raised their three daughters in Lansing. Patricia was a saleswomen in the electronics department, at Sears Roebuck, where she retired from after 25 years of service. Since 1966, the family looked forward to spending their summers at the cottage on Chippewa Lake and in 1987 it became their permanent residence. Patricia was an accomplished painter, could always be found talking to someone and loved to entertain. She enjoyed crafting and was known as the "popsicle lady" among the neighborhood kids. Her friends and neighbors at the lake became part of her family and she cared deeply for them all. Pat's choice of music was anything from the 1940's and she loved to watch all the old black and white movies. She had a talent for making everyone feel like they were her best friend.Patricia is survived by the family she loved and treasured: one daughter, Nancy (James) of Lansing; six grandchildren, ; five great-grandchildren, one sister, Geraldine of Gaylord and a host friends.Patricia is now reunited with: her husband, Larry; two daughters, Linda and Kathryn; one sister, Delores and her parents.Memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's name to the American Cancer Society.A life celebration will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 2:00 at the Chippewa Lake Community Church, where she attended the last three years.
