Patricia G. "Pat" Hyder, age 62 of Lakeview, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017. She was born July 28, 1954 in Lakeview, the daughter of Theodore and Margie (Bateman) Burden. Pat graduated from Morley - Stanwood High School in 1972. She married Dean E. Hyder on July 28, 1986. They began their married life in the Cedar Springs area until moving to Hinton Township in Mecosta County where they have resided for 24 years. Pat stayed involved in her childrens activities by serving as a 4- H leader (she was affectionately known as the "Chicken Lady"); she liked being a "Band Mom" and coaching the little ones at Lakeview in soccer. Pat is survived by her husband, Dean Hyder; daughter, Kristi Hyder; son, Ken Hyder; a sister Becky Rousseau all of Lakeview; two nieces Katie (Ross) Skinner of Rockford, Carly Hyder of Cedar Springs; a nephew Brock Hyder of Cedar Springs; great-nephew, Jonah Skinner of Rockford and her father-in-law, Don Hyder of Barryton. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, a brother David Burden; her mother-in-law, Bonnie Hyder and a brother-in-law, Ronald Rousseau. Funeral services will take place 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Rebecca Morrison officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 7th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Burial will be at the Stanwood Cemetery.
