Patricia Ellen Hurst, 77, passed away on February 21, 2026 in Big Rapids. She was born on March 18, 1948 in Grayslake, IL to James and Bernice (Raymond) Golden.

Whether she was feeding the deer, tending to her garden, or searching for morel mushrooms, Patricia thrived in nature. She was also an expert at finding hidden gems at antique stores.

Patricia is survived by her husband, James; three sons; Jamie (Kathy) Hurst, Thomas Hurst, and Jeffrey Hurst; grandchildren: Breanna Amber, Shaina Rose, Alex, and Joseph; numerous great-grandchildren; and sisters: Mary Bittner, Theresa Honigmann, and Maggy Shaurette. She is preceded in death by both parents.

Arrangements are in the care of Daggett Gilbert Funeral Homes, Big Rapids. Patricia will be laid to rest at St. Anne's Cemetery in Paris, MI.
