Patricia E. "Pat" Fish, age 83 of Stanwood, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at home. She was born June 10, 1930 in Muskegon, the daughter of Russell and Marie (Vanderweg) Unger. Pat graduated from Union High School in 1946. She married Raymond Fish on October 21, 1950 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Grand Rapids. Together they raised their family in the Grand Rapids area practicing under the Catholic faith. In 1986 they retired to the Stanwood area. Pat was a supportive wife and mother who would do anything for her family. She loved spending time with her family at reunions, picnics or gatherings. Pat enjoyed camping, pontoon boat rides, reading and baking wedding cakes. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Raymond "Ray" Fish of Stanwood; four children, Russell Fish of Big Rapids, Alan (Terri) Fish of Petoskey, Linda (Joseph) Rumler of Comstock Park and Mike Fish of Stanwood; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Toni (Ronald) Freiberg of Newaygo; many nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tom Fish; infant daughter, Sandra Fish; and a brother, Donald Unger. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Big Rapids with Father Michael Burt officiating. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 23rd at St. Mary Catholic Church and one hour prior to services on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Church.
