Patricia A. Bentley, age 49, of Big Rapids, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at her home. She was born July 10, 1967 in Flint, the daughter of Garry and Judy (Panek) Stewart. Patricia married the love of her life, Francis "Chris" Bentley and together they made their home in Big Rapids. She liked all animals; Patricia had two dogs, Tonka and Colby, and two cats, Fancy Pants and Kelly. She enjoyed going to yard sales, bargain shopping, reading, canning, and playing bingo. Patricia loved her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She always spoiled them and made them pancakes. Patricia had a strong spirit and never gave up. She always did for others before herself. Patricia is going to be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Francis "Chris" Bentley of Big Rapids; daughter, Rebecca Watson of Big Rapids; three grandchildren, Avery, Austyn, and Kendal; mother, Judy (Roger) ODell of Stanwood; sister, Rose (Raymond) Buss of Stanwood; brother, Garry (Conie) Stewart of Arkansas; eight nieces and nephews, Lexie (who called Patricia "Turtle"), Quintin, Seth (Shelby), Emily, Davon, Kavoceya, Chad Jr., and Madalynn; mother-in-law, Cheryl Laprise of Big Rapids; as well as many other extended family and friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her father; sister, Amanda VanAssche; grandson, Haidian; niece, Olivia; grandparents, Carl Sr. and Beatrice Panek; and friend, Willie Watson Jr. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17th and again from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday before the funeral at the Funeral Home.
