Pastor Ronald P. Wynn, age 75 of Morley, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 10, 1947, the son of the late Gerald and Elizabeth (Alberg) Wynn. Ron accepted Jesus into his heart at the age of 12 with his grandmother teaching him his first scripture: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17. Ron was a 1965 graduate from Morton West High School. He earned his degree from Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music (which is now Cornerstone) in 1968. Ron married Elaine Blaha on June 8, 1968 at Cicero Bible Church in Illinois where they met in youth group. Together they raised their family in Morley where Pastor Ron began his 41-year career at Deerfield Bible Church. He enjoyed working outside; planting flowers and trees and mowing the lawn. Pastor Ron appreciated listening to Gospel Music especially quartets. He was always willing to learn and expand his knowledge in life. Pastor Ron will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elaine Wynn of Morley; two children, Lori Wynn of Rockford, Illinois and David (Teri) Wynn of Hudsonville; three grandchildren, Leah, Daniel, and Elijah Wynn; his brother, Rob (Susan) Wynn of Illinois; two nephews; and many special friends including Pastor Frank and Joan Taylor.Funeral Services will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Deerfield Bible Church in Morley with Pastor Frank Taylor officiating. Family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 7th at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Pastor Ronald Wynn will be laid to rest at Boyd Cemetery in Morley.
