Pamela L. "Pam" Horstman, age 55 of Barryton formerly of Remus, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at her home. She was born in Big Rapids on August 20, 1965, the daughter of James Jr. and Mary (Stull) Morlan. Pam was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. Her priority in life was taking care of her family. Pam married Timothy Horstman and together they built their home and raised their two children.
Pam was a talented crafter and she was very creative. She enjoyed designing necklaces and scrapbooks for family and friends. Pam was thoughtful and caring; she would make gifts for special occasions which added a personal touch. She looked forward to Halloween. Pam decorated her basement as a haunted house for family, friends, and the public. She also volunteered to work her childrens Halloween carnivals at school.
Pam loved her family and spending time with them, especially the grandchildren. They enjoyed camping and fishing together. Pam will be greatly missed by those who survive her, including her husband of nearly 40 years, Tim Horstman; two children, Tim Jr. (Mellisa) Horstman and Shandell (Mark Shanteau) Horstman; mother, Mary Artibee; seven grandchildren, Timothy III, Joshua, Damion, and Makayla, Alyssa, Kali, and Jensen; one great-grandchild on the way; seven siblings, Julie (Bill Jamieson) Oswald, Paul (Cheryl) Morlan, Terry Artibee, Bob (Kelly) Artibee, Tammy (Duane) Watts, Tim Artibee, and Sherry Yarhouse; mother and father-in-law, Gerald and Marjorie Horstman; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father James Morlan Jr., step-father Robert Artibee, brother Troy Artibee, and nephew Anthony "AJ" Artibee.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Pamelas name to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
Cremation and care entrusted to the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton.
