Orley A. "Bud" Wise Jr., 90 of Canadian Lakes, died Thursday, July 8, 2021 in Grand Rapids. He was born in Dearborn on February 13, 1931, the son of Ellen Bennett and Orley Wise Sr. Bud was a member of Northland United Methodist Church for over 30 years. He liked being outdoors; often taking his daughters hiking and fishing. Bud enjoyed golfing, photography, and watching any type of car racing on television. He loved listening to jazz on the radio and telling tall tales to his four grandsons. Bud is survived by his wife of 70 years Valery of Canadian Lakes; daughters, Bonnie (George) Woloskie of Gaylord, Christie (Richard) Horst of Big Rapids, Michelle (Ralph) Henry of San Antonio, TX; brother, David Wise; grandsons, Zachary, Nathaniel, Daniel, Seth; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Ellen Wise; brother, Harold C. Wise; and grandmother, Laura (Sproul) Krapf.
