Norma J. Harper, age 78 of Morley, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at her home. She was born June 23, 1941 in Lake Odessa, the daughter of George and Dora (Lumbert) Harrington. Norma married Vernondean "Dean" Harper in 1957 and together they made their home in Morley. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and caring for any and all animals. Norma loved her family and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her five children, Brenda (James II) Lay of Belding, Barbara "June" Imler of North Dakota, Vernondean "Don" Harper Jr. of Big Rapids, Richard Harper of Big Rapids, and Dave (Sandi) Harper of Morley; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother Kenneth (Mary) Harrington of Freeport; sister, Linda Needham of Grand Haven; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Vernondean "Dean" Harper Sr. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Ron Witbeck officiating. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 2nd at the Funeral Home. Norma will be laid to rest at Aetna Township Cemetery in Morley.
