Norma C. Barnes, age 77 of Remus, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010. She was born May 27, 1933 in Hillsborough County, Florida the daughter of Clyde and Willie (Day) Fletcher. Norma graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1951 in Tampa, Florida. She made her home in Florida for many years. Following the death of her husband, Charles Barnes, Norma moved to Remus, where she lived for over 20 years. Norma is survived by a daughter, Sandra E. (Lenny) Eckert of Masaryktown, FL; a son Mark (Joyce) Santisteban of Cadillac and their 2 sons Justin and Jason Young; 2 sisters, Evelyn Smith of Shelby Township, MI, Nancy (Ronnie) Reynolds of Wesley Chapel, FL and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Huggard. Norma was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 14550 30th Ave., (M-66) Remus, where there will be a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5th. Inurnment will be at the Decker Cemetery near Blanchard.
