Norbert R. "Butch" McDonald Jr., age 63 of Stanwood, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014. He was born October 21, 1950 in Baltimore, MD, the son of Norbert Sr. and Marion (Cunningham) McDonald. Butch married Carolyn Schultz on September 17, 1973 in Dearborn. He was a truck driver for 35 years. Butch enjoyed animals, especially his dogs. He loved his family. Butch is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carolyn McDonald of Stanwood; two children, Matthew McDonald of Stanwood and Jennifer (Dale) Miller; a granddaughter, Rebecca Jean McDonald; a sister, Helena Trousdale of Stanwood; many nieces, nephews and a stepmother, Dian McDonald of Big Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Kathleen. There will be a memorial gathering held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Carolyn's home.
