Nettie Lois Robinson, age 85 passed away in Big Rapids, MI on February 20, 2016 after a long illness. She was born on January 2, 1931 in Traverse City. Nettie is survived by her six children, Starletta (Dan) Snowdin, Sherry (Dennis) Pellegrom, Allen Burley, Robin Russell Burley, Steven (Lynn) Burley and Terry Rolfe; eighteen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and two nieces, Irene (Roger) Bedell and Nancy (Russ) Novak. Nettie was preceded in death by her parents, Duard David and Clarabelle (Petrofka) Cole, and three husbands, Allen Burley, Roy Beech and Charles Robinson. She was a resident of Baldwin, MI until 1974 when she moved to Odessa, TX where she worked for the Odessa School District. After leaving there, she was employed for several years making drapes for JC Penney. She retired from Penneys to enjoy knitting and spending time with family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Metron of Big Rapids (725 Fuller Ave.) where she resided. Memorial donations in Netties name can be made to the charity of the donors choice. Arrangements and care were entrusted to the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
