Nancy Ann Ramsey, age 67 of Big Rapids, formerly of Paris, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016. She was born February 15, 1949 in Lakeview the daughter of J. Lyle Edgerly and Beatrice (Yanke) Edgerly Winger. Nancy graduated from Morley Stanwood High School in 1967 and then attended Ferris State University. She worked for Wolverine World Wide until her retirement. Nancy made her home in Paris for many years and most recently in Big Rapids. She loved to knit and crochet creating beautiful tablecloths and doilies. Nancy enjoyed participating in games and activities; especially a fun game of cards and Bingo with her family and friends. She had a great sense of humor. Nancy cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by three children; Sherry (Jody) Sorsen of Flint, Ken (Shanee) Ramsey of Morley, Crystal (Bill Conklin) Ramsey of Evart; nine grandchildren, Elisabeth, Zachery and Peter Sorsen, Brock, Braden and Kalee Ramsey, Danielle, Billy and Deanna Conklin; one great-grandson on the way; a brother, Jay (Sandie) Edgerly of Morley; four sisters, Alice (Brian) Kilbourne of Conklin, Crystal (Dale Hess) Lane of Morley, Carolyn (Gary) Stout of Morley, Pauline Badeaux of St. Johns and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor David Bongard officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 24th at the funeral home and again one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be at Boyd Cemetery near Morley.
