Nancy Lee Laughhunn was born on April 20, 1937, in Troy, Michigan, to Edsel and Violet Budry. She passed away on February 8, 2024. Michael David Laughhunn was born on June 10, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, to Joseph and Louise Laughhunn. He passed away on January 9, 2025. Michael and Nancy were united in marriage on December 11, 1956, and celebrated 67 years together. They had four children: Cheryl Lynn, Elizabeth (Tony) Ridenour, Brian (Sherry) Laughhunn, and Rebecca (Darnell) Small. They were preceded in death by their daughter Cheryl, their parents, and Nancys brothers Bruce and Robert. Michael was also preceded by his sisters Phyllis, Lucy, and Patricia, and his brothers Darwin and Edward, along with many other cherished friends and relatives. Michael and Nancy loved life and had many cherished friends. Both came from humble beginnings, but by industrious effort and patience they were able to enjoy many things with each other and their family and friends. They cherished memories made with ones they loved. In 1973, just days after the birth of their youngest daughter, Michael and Nancy relocated from Rochester, Michigan, to their "vacation" farm in White Cloud. Michael often said that retirement was meant for young people, and work was for when you were too old for fun. From 1973 to 1978, they enjoyed hobby farming and spending their days together as a family. The two of them proved to never be too old for fun! The couple remained active and vibrant throughout their lives. They credited their deep faith and hope in the promise of everlasting life as the key to their youthful hearts and minds. Michael and Nancy will be deeply missed by all who knew them. They are at peace, and their memory will live on until the day Jehovah awakens them to reunite with those they loved and who loved them. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, 2:00 P.M. at Daggett Gilbert Funeral Homes, Big Rapids. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
