Obituary

Myrtle I. Lackie, age 95, of Barryton passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 in Big Rapids. She was born January 29, 1922 in Bay County to Albert and Elfleda (McClung) Seaman. Myrtle married Elmer Lackie on September 7, 1940 and they made their home in Isabella County. They moved to Kent City in 1950 and then to Barryton in 1961. In 1967 they made their home at Lackies Birch Haven.Myrtle enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking and baking. When she was able she looked forward to attending the Sunday service at the Barryton Church of Christ.

Myrtle is survived by one daughter Louella (Fred) Hilden of Barryton; three sons, Merlin (Vendela) Lackie of Howard City, Larry Lackie of Barryton, Dennis (Lucinda) Lackie of Barryton; 18 Grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents; husband Elmer; son, Raymond Harold (Sharon) Lackie; a daughter Sharon Lackie; daughter-in-law, Joann Lackie and three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the Barryton Church of Christ with Pastor Rick Lippert officiating. The family will greet friends at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton on Tuesday, December 12th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will be at Strong Cemetery. Memorial donations in Myrtles name can be made to the Barryton Church of Christ or to Spectrum Health Hospice.
