On February 21, 2022, Michael "Mike" Scott Zezulak Sr. died in Grand Rapids, MI. He was 58 years old.Mike is survived by his father Charles Zezulak Sr., his wife Maryann, his children Christina (Avdi) and Michael "Mikey" Scott Jr.; his grandson, Jonathan; and siblings Charles Jr. (Diane), Phillip (Amy), Sheri (Robertino), and Brian; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Joyce Ann Zezulak, and his daughter Joyce Ann "Jazzy" Zezulak. Mike was born on April 8th, 1963 in Lombard, IL. He attended Glenbard East High School. At 15 years old, Mike often recalled getting shot in the head and experiencing death. He believed God gave him a second chance to live and fulfill his lifes purpose. He joined the army at 17 years old. Mike was a medic in the 82nd airborne for three years. After, Mike started his career in medical equipment and was a successful business owner for 16 years.Mike married Maryann in 1990 after being set up on a blind date to see a concert by mutual friends. They welcomed Christina in 1992, Michael Jr. in 1994, and Joyce Ann in 2007. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family (eg. boating and traveling), football (especially the Bears and Rams!), and studying the Bible. Mike was a generous man who was willing to go out of his way for those he loves. He was known for being a great story teller and enjoyed making people laugh.Funeral Services will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home, 13985 Northland Drive, Big Rapids, MI 49307. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 28th and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday all at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Mayfair Bible Church in Chicago, IL or Elim Christian Services in Palos Heights, IL.
