Michael D. Willmore, age 61, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, November 26, 2016. He was born November 3, 1955 in Sheridan the son of Norman and Grace (Jenks) Willmore. Mike made his home in the Big Rapids and Stanwood area most of his adult life. He worked for a time at Evart Products, currently Ventra Evart LLC. Mike graduated from Big Rapids High School. He attended St. Mary St. Paul Catholic Parish in Big Rapids. He is survived by his three daughters, Lora Willmore of Kalamazoo, Lisa Marie Moore of Big Rapids, Heather Willmore of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister Patty (Tom) Garnett of Midland; two brothers, Tom (Sandi) Willmore of Rogersville, AL, Joe (Sandy) Willmore of Sheridan; step-sister, Mickey (Lon) Rorick of Canadian Lakes and several nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Fred Willmore and an infant brother, John Willmore. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Father Michael Burt officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Burial will be at the Clear Lake Cemetery south of Sheridan. Memorial contributions in Mikes name may be given to his family.
